AC Installation and Repair in Festival Plaza, NV

Air conditioning work around Festival Plaza

Festival Plaza Drive runs through Downtown Summerlin, the 400 acre mixed use district at the community's center. Planning for the project was under way in the late 1990s and its first structure was the Red Rock Resort, which opened in April 2006. The area today is retail, restaurants, offices, a ballpark and an arena alongside high density residential, which makes it the least residential and most commercial of the Summerlin corridors.

Commercial and high density work, not suburban work

That changes the job substantially. Restaurants and retail tenancies run packaged rooftop units with far heavier duty cycles than a house, often with make up air and exhaust requirements that a domestic contractor does not deal with. Kitchens add grease laden air and heat load that will destroy a unit that was not specified for it. Apartment and condominium residents frequently have fan coils or packaged terminal units rather than their own split system, and access, scheduling and what may be replaced are all governed by the building rather than the occupant.

The load equipment carries in Downtown Summerlin

The valley averages a July high of 104 degrees on roughly 4.18 inches of annual rain. Rooftop equipment across a district like this takes unshaded sun for the whole working day on top of that ambient temperature. That is why commercial units here need maintenance on a shorter interval than their manuals assume, and why a blocked condensate line shows up as a ceiling stain rather than a puddle.

When to call us around Festival Plaza

Call if a tenancy is cooling unevenly, if a rooftop unit has stopped, if there is water staining below a ceiling unit, or if a residential fan coil is not keeping up. Tell us the building and unit type and we will connect you with a local contractor.
